The District Bar Association, Sahiwal, is one of the most prestigious Bars of Pakistan with time-honored glorious traditions. This bar has the rare honour of producing a galaxy of lawyers with stellar talents in abundance who carved out a niche for themselves to reach the pinnacle of this honorable profession by sheer dint of diligence and ceaseless hard work by devoting themselves heart and soul to their profession. Those lawyers served in different capacities in various walks of life with distinction by showing their expertise. Hussain Shaheed Suharwardi, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, was inducted as a lawyer while other bars across the country were reluctant to award him membership. This Bar has always been in the forefront of constitutional and political struggle throughout the country’s chequered history. Presently, the Bar has a crop of eminent lawyers who are helping in dispensation of justice to the needy and downtrodden segment of the society. The Sahiwal Bar, emulating the past traditions will continue to play a vital role at local as well as national level.
